First Hill Broadway driveway under construction Aug. 12 - Sept. 18

See important details for patients and visitors.

The First Hill Plaza driveway will undergo needed construction this month, daily 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m., beginning Aug. 12 until Aug. 30 (weather dependent).

During construction hours, patient drop-off and shuttles will be diverted to the Lytle Center driveway. A temporary reception desk will be located inside the Lytle entrance for verbal and physical escorts for wayfinding.

The parking garage will still be available throughout construction.

This is phase one of a two-phase project; the driveway will be operational for drop off/pick up during phase two (expected Sept. 2-18). See our FAQ below for additional details.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How long will pick-up and drop-off be unavailable at the main entrance?
During Phase One of construction, Aug. 12-30, the driveway will be closed from 6:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. daily. During that time, there will be a parking garage detour, and shuttle and patient drop-off will be redirected to the Lytle Center driveway.

The driveway will reopen each day by 3 p.m. Drop-off/pick-up locations will be available during Phase Two.

Can we use the parking garage?
Yes, the parking garage will be open throughout construction, and the main lobby interior and elevators will be open. There will be detour routes to enter the parking garage throughout the project. Traffic control guides will be at the driveway during construction hours to direct traffic appropriately.

An updated route illustration will be added to communications when we begin Phase Two of construction in September. Congestion is anticipated in the parking garage throughout construction phases. Please plan accordingly.

How will patients get where they need to from the Lytle Center?

A concierge will be stationed at the temporary entrance Monday through Friday, 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m. during this construction. Temporary signage will also be installed along the main corridor leading to the patient registration desk. We will also have wheelchairs available to incoming patients at that entrance as needed.

Will the front entrance doors be open for pedestrians?
Yes, both the front entryway doors and the pedestrian sidewalk to 747 Broadway will remain open during all phases of construction.

What about food delivery drop-off (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.)?
During construction hours, patients and visitors using a food delivery service should direct their drivers to the Lytle Center where all drop offs will occur.

Why is this construction needed?
The trenches at the 747 Broadway driveway have been in need of repairs for several years, to prevent water leaks to the below parking garage. In addition, portions of the driveway are in need of removal and repair.
