Seattle Storm and Providence Swedish team up for "Storm Out Cancer" on June 22

As part of the evening, the Storm Foundation will also donate $20,000 to the Providence Swedish-Cancer Institute’s Patient Assistance Fund, further supporting patients and families throughout their cancer journey. 

Join us as the Seattle Storm hosts “Storm Out Cancer” night, presented by Providence Swedish on Monday, June 22, as they face off against Dallas Wings at 7 p.m. at Climate Pledge Arena.- 

Fans attending the game will have the opportunity to support cancer patients and families in several ways throughout the evening. An exclusive commemorative bracelet, featuring Seattle Storm colors and a special "Storm Out Cancer" design, will be available for purchase at the Seattle Storm Team Shop. Fans can also participate in a 50/50 raffle hosted by Providence Swedish volunteers, with one lucky winner taking home half the proceeds. 

Funds raised through the bracelet sales and raffle will benefit the Providence Swedish Cancer Institute Patient Assistance Fund, which helps patients facing financial challenges related to their care. The fund provides assistance with essential expenses such as transportation, lodging, medications, groceries, childcare and utilities, helping patients focus on what matters most – their treatment and recovery.

This year marks the 11th-annual "Storm Out Cancer" night, continuing a longstanding partnership between Providence Swedish and the Seattle Storm. Since 2016, Providence Swedish has served as the team’s official healthcare partner, providing expert sports medicine care to Storm athletes. Led by Michael Erickson, M.D., the team supports players through injury care, rehabilitation, performance training and injury prevention.
