Lung Force Walk 2015 on May 9
There is nothing better than being outside on a spring weekend in beautiful Seattle while supporting a great cause. If you are looking for a fun and meaningful activity to participate in, consider the American Lung Associations’ 2nd Annual Lung Force Walk. This event is proudly sponsored by the Swedish Cancer Institute, which is committed to early detection of lung cancer through screening, delivery of quality care to those suffering from the disease and their caregivers and contributing to critical research and clinical advancements while offering hope to those affected.
Lung cancer is the number one cancer killer in this country for both men and women and far exceeds the numbers of deaths from breast, colon, and prostate cancers, combined. The Lung Force Walk is dedicated to standing up against not only lung cancer but also COPD, asthma and pollution that threatens lungs. The proceeds from this event will help fund research, advocacy, educational efforts and awareness.
This event will be held at Denny Playfield and will begin with a 0.3 mile Heroes Lap. Afterwards, all who choose to participate will walk the 2.5 miles route. Once the walk is complete join in on the celebration at Denny Playfield where there will be music, children’s activities, sponsor giveaways and prize drawings.
Make a difference in the lives of others and donate or start raising money for the Lung Force Walk today! All individuals who donate a minimum of $100 (tax deductible) will receive a free event T-shirt at the walk. We hope to see you at the 2nd annual Lung Force Walk!
