A survivor’s story of life-saving brain aneurysm surgery at Providence Swedish

Nearly 30,000 Americans experience a brain aneurysm rupture each year. Worldwide, there are almost 500,000 deaths caused annually by brain aneurysms, and half of the victims are younger than 50. 

Seven years ago, during treatment for a stroke, an aneurysm ruptured in Linda Lowry’s brain. KOMO TV News host Holly Menino (at left in photo above) recently sat down with Lowry (center) and surgeon Yince Loh, M.D., (right) director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Providence Swedish Neuroscience Institute, for a conversation about her recovery and the remarkable treatment she received at Providence Swedish.
