Swedish Pediatric Therapy has a new home and all the latest services
Are you looking for an engaging and effective environment for your child to hone motor skills, recover from a sports injury or surgery, increase communication, or be more independent and comfortable in home, school and community? Welcome to Swedish’s new 7,000-square-foot space for pediatric therapy.
We have moved to the Nordstrom Tower in Seattle, part of our First Hill campus, where we offer outpatient occupational, physical and speech therapy services for children from birth to 17.
Two gyms and lots of space
Take an elevator ride up to the 15th floor and visit our tree-top birdhouse play areas. With sweeping views of the city skyline out to the mountains, each room is named for a bird that might just fly by.
Our new space features two large gyms full of playground-like equipment. Children can swing from monkey bars or climb a rock wall to develop large motor skills. Our physical therapists work with kids to boost their strength and confidence in climbing, walking, stairs and play.
Step in to our sensory gym, which features swings, a ball pit and cloud pillows. Our sensory gym is a large space with unique opportunities for children to explore, learn and challenge themselves with occupational therapists. Here, children can build confidence while playing, creating, investigating and exploring.
Improving eating habits
For children with eating difficulties, we have individual treatment rooms, where our feeding therapists have state-of-the art equipment at their fingertips to help improve your child’s interest and ability to eat. Whether it is tips for transitioning through infant and toddler eating or helping ensure your child grows and gains weight, we can help.
Our speech therapists use the latest technology and games to create personalized treatment plans to help children improve their communication skills.
New: a kitchen for snacks – and life skills
We are excited to now offer a kitchen geared toward practicing making snacks and eating them with our kids. What a fun way to promote independence and develop motor planning, sequencing and life skills. We also have art, fine motor areas and closets bursting with games to help children develop these skills.
Run, scooter, bike or skip down our running lane and head into our other fun rooms. With spaces tailored for infants, toddler and school-age children, we can help your child build confidence and gain skills for an active life. Come let your dreams take flight with Swedish Pediatric Therapy Services.
