Love your heart: We can help with healthy tips
February is Heart Month and throughout the month the Swedish Heart & Vascular Institute will be posting helpful information on awareness, prevention and treatment of heart disease.
We started on February 3 by showing our support for the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day! Caregivers and providers in all of our clinics wore red to raise awareness that heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Exercise, eat your way to a healthy heart
Nearly half of Americans have at least one risk factor for heart disease. These include high blood pressure, obesity, physical inactivity and an unhealthy diet.
