After breast cancer: what's next

Life after cancer treatment often can bring on worry and anxiety over how to move forward. You may feel like your safety net is gone because you are not seeing your cancer team as often. Fear and anxiety are normal emotions but sometimes they are overwhelming and can keep you from finding wholeness and healing. During this phase you may have questions about fatigue, pain, medications and concerns about finding “the new normal.”

The After Breast Cancer class provides education, inspiration and support during this challenging transition. Good health is not merely the absence of disease but should include a holistic approach to mind, body and spirit. This educational workshop includes a variety of speakers sharing their research and expertise for improving overall health. Additionally, you will be able to meet others who have had a similar experience.

This half-day workshop is an important next step for anyone who has recently completed cancer treatment for breast cancer and is available at no cost.

Recent topics have included:

  • Anxiety about recurrence
  • Increasing energy through exercise
  • Fatigue
  • Pain
  • Better nutrition
  • Healthy exploration of grief, sadness and other emotions
  • Personal meaning of healing
  • Creative art expression
